Supercar Week 2014 comes to Palm Beach County

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Exotic cars have been turning heads across Palm Beach County all week.

Why?  It's Supercar Week!

"Supercar Week embodies Palm Beach County. We've been all over. This is all about why this is the best place to live work and play. Supercars super show is the one week every year where car enthusiasts from anywhere in the world can come here and enjoy super car events and see cars of all kinds," said Tim Byrd from Supercarweek.com.

So what's a 'super car'?

"That's your Lamborghini, Ferraris, Aston Martins, all those things, those rare expensive automobiles.  Plus, we'll have electrics, we'll have muscle cars and some surprises as well," said Byrd.

You'll even get a chance to own your own super car! One is going to be auctioned off at Auction America on Southern Boulevard and Jog Road on Saturday.

"Percentage of the proceeds will go to the Paul Walker's foundation "Reach Out WorldWide" to help the needy," said Joshua George, a technician with Pettit Racing.

"Last year we had close to 40,000 people.  This year it's going to be more! It's bigger and better than ever, almost 500 automobiles!" Byrd said.

The main event on Sunday is free to the public on Flagler Drive at the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
