WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- SunFest starts a week from today at the waterfront of downtown West Palm Beach.
Last year, at least 165,000 people came out for the event.
This year, event organizers say, ticket sales are already higher than last year's sales.
With so many people coming out for the event, you may want to plan ahead on where to park.
SunFest organizers have locked down five parking garages throughout the downtown area.
Those who want to park in these garages can reserve a spot ahead of time.
You have until 10 p.m. the night before to do so.
For more on where these garages are located, visit: http://www.sunfest.com/festival-info/parking/ .
If you don't get a spot in one of these garages, there are more than 11-hundred metered spots throughout the downtown area.
The downtown trolley will also be running through West Palm Beach, so if you park far away you can catch a trolley to take you to the waterfront.
For those who live nearby and plan on biking to the event, event organizers have created a "bike valet" system so your bicycle will be safe and secure while you enjoy the event.
"There is a bike valet, so if you can cycle over, we'll have your bike watched for you and then you can pedal away," says Melissa Sullivan, marketing manager of SunFest.
If you don't plan on driving or biking, you can come by boat. Water taxis will be traveling throughout the intracoastal waterway and can pick you up from your boat and bring you to the event.
SunFest begins May 1 and ends Sunday May 5.
