Standoff ends in West Palm Beach after caller makes threats

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A standoff has ended in West Palm Beach after police were tied up for several hours Tuesday morning.

Police say a man calling from an efficiency on West Lakewood Road talked of suicide and made possible bomb threats.

Several officers, the bomb squad and a swat team responded.

Officers say they situation was resolved around noon.

Police took the man in custody outside his home.

Police say they plan to question him and then determine whether he will face any charges.
