WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Children staying at the Palm Beach Children's Hospital at St. Mary's Medical Center will now have a much nicer stay.
The facility just received 10 iPads for free from Aaron's iPad Lending Library. The kids can watch movies on them, listen to music, play games and video chat with family and friends.
Aaron's iPad Lending Library was started by an 11-year-old girl named Sarah who saw what a difference an iPad made in her 6-year-old cousin Aaron's recovery from cancer. She decided to begin raising money as a service project at her school.
"They're so important because they help normalize the environment because they help kids distract them during long periods of stay," said Jane Miller of St. Mary's Medical Center.
The organization plans to donate more iPads to local hospitals in the months to come. For more information, visit https://teamaaron.org .
