SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Bail Bonds agents were fired upon as they attempted to apprehend a man Friday night in West Palm Beach.
After a short standoff with the Bail Bonds agents, Kenneth Burroughs came out of the residence.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputies arrived at 1659 North Haverhill Road at about 9pm to investigate the shooting.
Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence and located a shotgun, .380 caliber pistol and a .38 special revolver.
The interior of the residence showed evidence that several rounds of ammunition were fired.
Eleven expended shotgun shell casings were found on the floor.
Kenneth Burroughs is a 7-time convicted felon.
He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Firearm, Shooting within a Dwelling, and Child Neglect.
Burroughs admitted to ownership of the weapons.
The investigation closed Haverhill Road from Elmhurst Road to Stacy Street in suburban West Palm Beach.
The area has since been reopened.
