Judge orders mental health evaluation
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A judge Wednesday morning gave Sherman Weeks a $75,000 bond and a mental health evaluation.
Weeks is accused of shooting his father in Suburban West Palm Beach Tuesday.
The father is expected to survive.
Sherman's aunt Rachel Weeks, speaking in court on Wednesday morning, said her nephew has mental problems which he developed after an accident.
She says he is very close to his father.
"Something just clicked in his brain and sometimes things just click in his head. He starts saying stuff that doesn't make sense," Weeks said.
Prosecutors say Sherman Weeks has a criminal history with previous felony arrests.
