SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - First responders rescued two people after the car they were in landed in a shallow canal in suburban West Palm Beach Thursday evening, said Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Firefighters responded around 10 p.m. to reports of a car in a canal near the 11150 block of 63 rd Lane North. Upon arrival they found one of the occupants walking in the roadway and two others still inside the vehicle. They helped the two out of the car and up the embankment to safety, Borroto said.
All three sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for follow up treatment, he said.
There are no other details immediately available.
