Report of white powder investigated at Palm Beach International Airport

Determined to be non hazardous

SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Operations began returning to normal Monday afternoon at Palm Beach International Airport after airport security halted lines to check out a suspicious substance.

Concourse C was shut down while Palm Beach County Fire Rescue investigated a white powder.

They later determined it was not hazardous.

Some passengers trying to catch a flight said that they had been waiting in line for at least 40 minutes to an hour.

"We just thought that it must be some kind of security breach and I know that sometimes you hear that they have to clear the airports for security breaches but we were hoping that we wouldn't have to go through all of that," said Paula Taub.

The airport delayed takeoffs so no passengers missed a flight during the investigation
