Perciel Hamilton: No bond set for man shot by Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - No bond was set Wednesday for the man who was shot by a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy earlier this week.

In his first court appearance since the incident, the suspect, Perciel Hamilton, was wearing a bandage on his left arm.

Hamilton is charged with assault on an officer.

The PBSO said a deputy caught Hamilton using a crowbar to break into a car on Old Dixie Highway in Lake Park early Tuesday morning.

When deputies ordered him to stop, they said Hamilton raised the crowbar over his head, prompting a deputy shot him.

That deputy is on paid administrative leave.
