WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A deputy was injured while responding to a call in the 1500 block of Prairie Road in West Palm Beach Sunday afternoon, according to Teri Barbera, a spokeswoman for Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
The deputy was shot in the back of the neck with what PBSO believes to be a BB gun while at the Pentecostal Church of God at 1580 Prairie Road.
A perimeter was immediately set up around the church, but no suspects were located, Barbera said.
First responders treated the unidentified deputy on scene and later transported him to a local hospital for evaluation. The deputy received non-life threatening injuries.
