WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Outlets will be ready to open in one week, according to mall management.
Palm Beach Outlets General Manager Jim Roberts says it's a "mad rush" to finish the mall and all but five of the 100 stores will be ready for business opening day.
Roberts said the exterior of mall is done for the most part, but it's the stores that now need to be ready.
"It's the tenants inside their stores that are doing the last-minute stocking, they're training" Roberts said. "They're doing everything so we can be open."
Construction crews are working around the clock to finish the mall leading up to Feb. 14.
Roberts said the mall is also ready for all the traffic opening weekend could bring.
"We've hired so many additional police officers, off-duty, who will help us with all the traffic and try to work to get everyone in as fast as possible, but expect it will be busy," Roberts said.
The mall will officially open its doors at 10 a.m. Feb. 14 after a 9 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
