Palm Beach County teachers get free school supplies at the Drop and Shop Back To School Supply Drive

Teachers will get free items at the Drop and Shop School Supply Drive at CityPlace Saturday.

Educators will have a chance to walk through the Palm Beach Improv and grab what they need for their classrooms.

CityPlace and Palm Beach Broadcasting teamed up to collect school supplies to help teachers keep their classroom stocked throughout the school year.

For almost two weeks, local residents and businesses donated supplies like markers, glue, folders, calculators and backpacks.

Virginia Sinicki, KVJ morning show host said, "So many listeners from 97.9, WRFM, from the KVM show and Palm Beach broadcasting, stepped up, they brought bag of goodies, they gave cash and luckily we bought so much stuff yesterday. These teachers are going to be able to shop for free and get lots of goodies for their classes."

A thousand educators pre-registered for today's event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
