Michael Calloway: Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy involved in serious crash

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputy is in stable condition after crashing their cruiser Tuesday night in West Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

PBSO says deputy Michael Calloway was en route to back up another deputy when he was involved in the crash in the 100 block of Australian Avenue in West Palm Beach.

The deputy was airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center.

The accident happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

According to Fire Rescue, the deputy had to be extricated from his patrol cruiser.
