WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The 15-year-old being held in connection with a deadly June shooting in Riviera Beach made a court appearance Monday morning.

Trevares Edon is accused of killing 17-year-old Narjaa Frazier at the Stonybrook Apartments.

The juvenile, who has been charged as an adult, is being held without bond on charges of second-degree murder, carrying a concealed firearm and a delinquent in possession of a firearm.

He’s being represented by a public defender who said there is video of the incident that shows the victim pulled a gun first.

The public defender claims it was an act of self –defense, entered a plea of not guilty and requested a bond hearing.

The judge ordered Edon to avoid contact with the victim’s family.
