National NAACP President Ben Jealous attends local Urban League Luncheon

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Urban League of Palm Beach County held their 40th annual 'Equal Opportunity Day Awards' Luncheon on Thursday and a very special guest stopped by with an inspirational message.

Ben Jealous, the former and youngest National NAACP President told attendees of the banquet just how proud he was of everything they were accomplishing and excited for all that there is to come because they're headed in the right direction.

The luncheon honored high school students who do outstanding volunteer work in their community.

The Urban League also gave the Lifetime Achievement Award to Riviera Beach native Yvette Miley, an MSNBC journalist who got her start working here at WPTV News Channel 5.

WPTV's very own Tania Rogers emceed the luncheon at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
