PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - West Palm Beach police say five known gang members have been arrested in connection with the shooting between two vehicles on South Congress Avenue on January 12 in which a 12-year-old boy was hit in the crossfire.
He was shot in the neck, but will survive.
Police say they found guns and drugs at the home of former Palm Beach County Commissioner Maude Ford Lee in the 600 block of Clear Lake Avenue that were connected to the people arrested.
Police say neither Lee nor her family had any involvement. The police chief said the house was being rented.
Police say some of those arrested have numerous felonies.
