Thousands of walkers turned out for the annual March of Dimes walk at CityPlace Saturday morning.
Organizers set up the walk along Rosemary Avenue.
Crowds of families gathered as well as groups of co workers and friends.
March of Dimes does the walk every year, nationwide, to raise funds and awareness on premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.
In addition to the walk, booths were set up to provide more information about March of Dimes and other healthcare resources.
There were activities and games for the family to enjoy as well as a post celebration walk.
Organizers said close to 10,000 registered for the walk.
