Lavon Heath facing felony charges from two violent crimes in the same week, police say

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Lavon Heath is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail on charges of attempted second degree murder, armed robbery and carjacking.

West Palm Beach Police say that on February 27 just before 10 p-m they were called to a shooting at the B & B Convenience Store at 701 Sapodilla Avenue.

Officers say that two brothers who were outside of the store at the time were robbed and then shot by Heath.

Both men survived the shooting, according to police, and they were able to identify him by his street name "Magnesie".

West Palm Beach police say that they knew "Magnesie" as Lavon Heath from a previous case.

On March 1st police say that they were called to the 800 block of 30th Court for a carjacking.

The victim told police that two men, one of which had an assault rifle stolen from his vehicle along with money, car keys, cell phone and jewelry.

The total value of the theft was around $4,6000.

Police say that they received a tip that " Magnesie" was involved in the carjacking.

Police say that both the victims from the armed robbery shootings and the carjacking were able to identify Heath as the suspect.
