WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- - A campus for foster kids in West Palm Beach has opened its first group home for boys.
KidSanctuary held a grand opening at the home Saturday night.
It's a 5,500 square foot ranch-style home for boys ages 6 to 17. There are six bedrooms.
Each room in the house is outfitted by one of the area's top designers.
"We really try to create an environment where they can create brighter futures," said Marlo Massey, the executive director. "They can feel safe wake up in the morning and have water to brush their teeth, food to eat."
The campus already has two homes for girls.
The cost to build the home was about $750,000.
In 10 days, the first six boys will move in.
KidSanctuary plans to break ground on a second home for boys next year.
