WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Thousands paid their respects to our Veterans Sunday afternoon.
Clematis Street in Downtown West Palm Beach was the scene for the annual Veterans Day parade .
Veterans made their way past the huge crowds on foot, on motorcycles, in wheelchairs and in an assortment of military vehicles. The half-mile long walk reminded many of the sacrifices that were made during war.
Veteran Donald Pascale said, "What really thrilled me is to see all of these people come out and especially the young people, it's great."
Jessica Morris said, "It's really special to me and a little sentimental because my grandfather wasn't here with me so it meant a lot so I was here to share it with my sister."
A number of Veterans Day events are planned throughout South Florida on Monday.
