Five fun things to do this weekend; Aug. 9-11

Skate Park-It's time to skate on! Join the City of Palm Beach Gardens for the grand re-opening of the newly renovated City of Palm Beach Gardens Skate Park (10113 Plant Drive, Palm Beach Gardens). There will be fun for everyone: music, skate contest, prizes and giveaways, in partnership with Locals Surf Shop. All participants under 18 must have a skate card and waiver on file. Participants over 18 must have a valid ID. Helmets are required for all! Free;  7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Zombie Rampage- Are you ready for the Beach Zombie Rampage this weekend? Beach zombies will rampage in downtown Lake Worth(South Shores Tavern, 502 Lucerne Ave., Lake Worth) for the first ever pub crawl this weekend! Several bars within walking distance will have themed food and drink specials, and will be prepared for this very special zombie infestation. Participating bars include the South Shores Tavern, Brogues Downunder, Rudy's Standup Saloon, Little Munich, The Cottage, Havana Hideout, Daves, Speakeasy and Igots. For the fashionable Zombie who just wants to look their best but has no idea on the proper makeup application, there will be a Ghastly Ghoul beauty station with professional makeup artists available to cater to your night of the living dead needs. There will be several Zombie Pub Scouts in the area to corral the living dead during each of the planned "incidents" (if you're a "Thriller" fan then one of them will be of particular interest to the zombie in you) and a complimentary beverage station situated at Studio 205 where bottled water, sodas, lady fingers, and the like can nourish the less beer minded participants. Special prizes will be raffled off throughout the evening followed by an end of the crawl event back at South Shores around  11:30PM. There, 3 grand prizes will be awarded for Best Zombie, Most Spirited Zombie and Worst Zombie Ever. Throughout the evening there will also be filming for Beach Zombie Rampage: Kick'n it in the LDUB, an upcoming local/community based low budget zombie thriller set in Lake Worth being produced by Keiran O'Shay and Margaret Murphy. So, mass zombie scenes will be filmed! There will also be photo opportunities with several cast members for those members of the undead that would like a living memory of the event. The producers are also working to submit a movie short in time for the 2013 LDUB Film Festival. $15; 7 p.m.

Taste Makers- It's time for the Fifth Annual culinary experience that truly is a strolling event. Tastemakers of Delray Beach (Atlantic Ave, Downtown Delray Beach), has grown in popularity and each year there are many more and more guests in attendance---organizers predict over 2,500 Tastemaker attendees this year on Atlantic Ave!   And it's easy as 1, 2, 3…Guests are encouraged to begin in one location of Downtown Delray Beach and stroll from one stop to the next. Once each guests has indulged in the "taste" the "passport" is then stamped, just like visiting another country. This year there are a few new features to the program adding a fun experience for each guest. Delray Subaru will be sponsoring a Car Service – "The Tastemaker Mobiles" providing free rides to those attending the event a Free ride from the beach area restaurants to downtown or the more west area restaurants. The Downtown Roundabout Trolley service will also be available for attendees to catch a ride to each restaurant if needed.  To participate, guests need to purchase a "Passport" for only $30 cash, which is a booklet that includes the 18 restaurants and the culinary items which they are providing for the event. Also within the booklet is a fold out map that highlights each restaurant location. Free entry;  5 p.m.-10 p.m.

Wine and Jazz- What better way to spend a Sunday evening, then with some jazz and a glass of wine! If this sounds soothing, then head on over to the Endless Summer Vineyard and Winery for a special performance by The Coffee Beans. The summer menu includes beef nachos, fish dip, chicken sand more. Don't forget to bring the kids! They can feed the fish or take part in the cornhole festivities. $2; 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Friday Fest- Rain, Rain, go away! Last weekend's rain postponed the monthly celebration. So be sure to come out this weekend to the biggest Main Street event in the city (Downtown, Fort Pierce). Friday's festivities include live entertainment, food, drinks, arts and crafts and children's activities. The monthly celebration is held every first  Friday of the month(weather permitting); but this Friday's celebration is even more special. The Ohana Band will be taking to the stage---and their known to have you dancing during their entire performance.  Free;   5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
