A 23-year-old Clewiston man was killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle wreck in western Palm Beach County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Cody Madison Bunting of Clewiston was driving a 1999 Ford F-150 northbound on U.S. 27 near mile marker 85 just before 3:30 p.m.
FHP said Bunting’s left front tire and rim detached from his truck, causing him to lose control and hit another vehicle.
Both vehicles became engulfed by flames, and Bunting was pronounced dead at the scene.
