WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The police officer accused of having sex with a woman without telling her he was infected with HIV made a court appearance Thursday morning.
A judge ruled officer Ervans Saintclair has to be back in court on April 4th to explain some of the details of his case.
Saintclair is on leave from the Greenacres Police Department after a woman claims she had a sexual relationship with the officer and he never told her about his infection.
He'd been with the police department since 2007. According to court records, he was diagnosed when he got the job. The diagnosis was the result of his pre-employment blood testing with the city.
Saintclair is charged with criminal transmission of HIV. He’s free on a $30,000 bond.
