Eduardo Antonio Agudelo: Man charged in suburban Boca Raton house explosion in court

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The man Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies say caused an explosion in a suburban Boca Raton home was in court Wednesday.

Eduardo Agudelo is facing a first degree arson charge.

He is also accused of running a marijuana growing operation inside the home.

Deputies say chemicals he was using caused the blast on May 6th.

Agudelo's lawyer is calling the incident an accident.

"It's not an arson charge where somebody intended on causing a fire, or burning a house down, or blowing up a house," attorney Gregg Lerman said.

Lerman said Agudelo turned himself in on Tuesday.

Bond is set at $18,000
