WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.-- Claudia McKenna, former attorney for the City of West Palm Beach, who retired in April, has been hired by the City as a consultant.
McKenna, 65, worked for the city for 18 years and became the City’s main Attorney in 2002.
The contract dated May 13 obtained by WPTV shows that McKenna will be paid $4,800 per month for 32 hours of work and $150 per hour for additional hours.
McKenna announced her retirement to the Mayor on February 3 and stepped down in April.
In a commission meeting later that day Mayor Jeri Muoio spoke about McKenna’s plans to join her husband who’s been retired for seven years and about her intentions to spend more time with her five grandchildren in New Jersey.
