Caroline Tire fire: ATF offering reward in West Palm Beach arson case

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- A fire that destroyed a West Palm Beach business was set intentionally and is being investigated as an arson case, according to Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Agent Eduardo Halley.

A criminal investigation has been opened after Caroline Tire was burned to the ground in early December, and ATF agents are still searching for suspects in the case.

The fire caused Caroline Tire's owners to move their business down the street a few buildings away from the charred one.

ATF is offering a reward for information, but have not said how much money will be given to tipsters with information leading to an arrest.

Halley said the ATF has not received many tips on the fire.

"It's kind of gone cold," he said.
