WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The St. Lucie County middle school student who says he was attacked by classmates, will soon sue the district.
Attorney Dena Sisk Foman says she plans to file a lawsuit against the school district on behalf of Radravious Williams in the very near future.
She says she is traveling to New York City in the coming days to meet with a civil rights attorney who is also joining the case.
Williams says he was attacked by classmates in March at Northport K-8.
His attorney says video shows a teacher telling the classmates to, "teach Radravious a lesson," after he talked back in class.
"We started evaluating the case and realized the problem of bullying these days is an epidemic and it is happening at the top level. It does not show children the appropriate way to treat each other," Foman said.
The teacher involved remained out of the classroom as of two weeks ago. Police say there was no evidence to charge her with a crime.
Calls to the district on Tuesday were not returned.
