WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Anthony Carlton Fonseca, 43, of Jupiter, has been arrested on additional charges stemming from an earlier arrest on child pornography charges, investigators say.
Last May the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Fonseca on 30 counts of possession of child porn and one count of transmission of pornography by an electronic device.
Fonseca was arrested again on Tuesday on four counts of promoting sexual performance by a child, three counts of burglary and one count of using a computer to solicit a child online.
The FDLE, in its orginal arrest report, says that Fonseca allegedly impersonated a 16-year-old girl online to engage in web chats with young boys to solicit sexually explicit images.
Officials said Fonseca had been previously arrested and convicted of voyeurism involving young boys in Palm Beach County.
The FDLE says that Fonseca runs Anthony Carlton Management, a modeling/talent agency that targets teens and pre-teens in Palm Beach, Broward and Dade Counties.
Fonseca came in contact with children throughout the tri-county area on a regular basis, according to the FDLE.
Investigators say until last month he had been living in the 57-hundred block of Coach House Circle in Boca Raton.
Last May NewsChannel 5 spoke with a neighbor who says Fonseca approached her about enrolling her son in modeling. The mother wished to remain anonymous.
"He described my son and asked if he belonged to me. He asked me his age and was sizing him up from a model agent perspective," said the Boca Raton mom.
Once she learned of his arrest she said,"My heart sunk, I'm glad he's gone. But I'm terrified to know my child was outside with someone like that and I didn't know it."
She says Fonseca even gave her his business card to setup an appointment.
If any person has children or knows of any children who may have come in contact with Fonseca, they are urged to contact FDLE Special Agent Edward Waters at (786) 336-1000.
Fonseca was released from the Palm Beach County Jail Tuesday night.
