A woman was in court to face charges of driving drunk and killing a motorcyclist on his way to welcome home World War II veterans.
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A woman arrested in a deadly September crash was in court Thursday to face charges connected to a wreck that killed a motorcyclist.
The suspect, Amanda McClure, 24, of Palm City, Fla., is charged with negligent manslaughter.
Investigators said she hit and killed motorcyclist John Regan, 58, of Coral Springs, Fla., on Sept. 7 on Interstate 95 between Donald Ross and Indiantown roads.
Regan, a member of the Florida Patriot Guard, was headed to Palm Beach International Airport to escort WWII veterans home after they returned from an honor flight in Washington, D.C.
Prosecutors said she had previously been arrested on DUI charges before the fatal wreck.
At Thursday's hearing, the judge issued her a $50,000 bond plus she'll be monitored by GPS.
