5 Fun things to do this weekend: March 8-10th

Royal Palm Beach Art & Music Festival-One of the biggest festivals takes place in Central Palm Beach County this weekend. Join over 20,000 folks as they head out to Lakeside Challenger Park & Royal Palm Beach Boulevard in Royal Palm Beach to take part in the festivities. There will be kayak races, a chicken wing-eating contest, carnival rides, food vendors, a business expo, and street performers. Also in attendance will be local superstars Michaela Paige and Laura Vivas, both finalists in "The Voice." And don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets, because fireworks will glow the sky Saturday night! Free; Saturday 11-10p.m., Sunday 11a.m.-7p.m.

Solefest- A one of a kind convention where you can buy, sell, or trade your kicks. Come out to the Palm Beach Convention Center to be part of the growing sneaker community. Not limited to just shoes, SoleFest brings out everything from custom hats and laces to custom socks and accessories. Well known brands like Rock Em Apparel and Diversitile Customs will be there with tables. And don't even think about leaving early or else you will miss the raffle for the Air Jordan IV "Bred". SoleFest will also be auctioning off other great prizes you won't want to miss out on. $10; Sat. 12p.m.-5p.m.

Treasure Coast Seafood- Lobster. Crab Cakes. Shrimp. If your mouth is watering right now, then you need to make plans to attend the Treasure Coast Seafood Festival at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center this Saturday. The 3 rd annual festival promises to bring lots of fun and entertainment with vendors, musical performances, and restaurant specialties. Free; Saturday 12p.m.-10p.m.

Walk for the Animals- You've heard of 5K runs? 2K walks? What about a one-mile walk with your pet! The     12 th annual Barry Crown Walk for the animals takes place this Saturday downtown at the Gardens. Come socialize with pet lovers, and take part in the day's festivities. Pet owners will have a chance to have their pets vaccinated, groomed, and even looked out by the professionals at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. There will also be a showcase of animals that will be up for adoption! All donations from the event directly support the services and programs to help animals in need.  Free; Saturday 9a.m.-1p.m.

Art Fest by the Sea- One of the most talked about Art Shows comes to Jupiter this weekend. Come out and enjoy the wide array of fine art along A-1-A at Marcinski Road in Jupiter. The 25 th annual festival will feature over 300 hundred artist from around the country who will share their contemporary, folk, abstract and modern art. Free; Saturday & Sunday 10a.m.-5p.m.
