5 fun things to do this weekend; March 1-3rd

Lake Worth Beach Party-It's been a long time coming, and now it's time for its debut! The City of Lake Worth will officially open the historic Lake Worth Casino Building and Beach Complex this weekend. Celebrate with city leaders on Saturday and take advantage of the free pier admission, 25 cent ferris wheel rides, old-fashioned popcorn, cotton candy, ice-cream, face painting, street entertainment and for the adults - a black-jack tournament. Free; 10 a.m.-4p.m.

Heart and Soul Street Festival-For the first ever, City officials will close vehicle traffic on Tamarind Ave in West Palm Beach between 7th and 10th street for a street festival. Come out and join family, friends, and neighbors, for some good laughter and fun. Street vendors, live music, and entertainment from X102.3 will sure keep you groovin. Free; Sat. 3p.m.-7p.m.

Autism Speaks 5K Run-This will be the first year there will be a walk and run. Bring your running shoes, and get ready to join hundreds of other folks in this annual event. The first 500 runners to register will receive an official "Palm Beach 5K Run Before the Walk Now for Autism Speaks" event t-shirt. Runners are also encouraged to gather support from friends and family to increase their donation for Autism Speaks. WPTV Anchor Michael Williams will host the event. $35 day of event; Sun. 7:30a.m.

Hobe Sound Craft Fair-The craft fair is coming to town! If you're a craft lover, then you need to make your way to US1/Federal Highway & Bridge Road in Hobe Sound to view a wide array of original handmade affordable crafts and gift items. From paintings to ceramics, you'll be sure to find something that sparks your interest from the over 100 artists that plan to be in attendance. Free; Sat./Sun. 10a.m.-5p.m.   

K9 Competition- The 2013 South Florida K9 Competition will take place at Boynton Beach High School, (4975 Park Ridge Boulevard, Boynton Beach) this Saturday. Come out and see your favorite K9's as they jump over fences, crawl through barrels, and climb walls at this all day event. More than 24 cops and their K9 partners will compete, and for the kids, there will be a moon bounce, rock climbing wall, and interactive SWAT mission challenge where they will have to wear cop gear to rescue a teddy bear. Free; Sat. 10a.m.-6p.m.
