Hundreds came out to support the BallenIsles Wildlife Foundation in Wellington Sunday.

The organization held its elaborate champagne brunch at the Polo Club. Although it did rain, it did not dampen spirits.

Storm Team 5 Chief Meteorologist Steve Weagle was the keynote speaker.

Organizers said they are grateful for the community’s help.

"It’s just amazing, it really is,” BallenIsles President Marianne Guerra said. “The support that we get in our community and even outside the community is so much more than we ever expected."

BWF helps organizations like the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. This year they say they’ve been able to assist dozens of injured, stray and lost animals.
