A man was shot by his son Saturday afternoon in Wellington, according to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
The incident happened at 1:47 p.m. in the 9800 block of Woolworth Court.
Deputies say the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
The shooter has been detained.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division and Crime Scene Investigators are in route to the scene to investigate further.
