Fireworks blamed for overnight fires in Wellington, suburban Lake Worth

Investigators said an overnight fire caused by fireworks resulted in $100,000 in damages to a former restaurant in Wellington. 

The fire occurred off Forest Hill Boulevard at a closed business near the Mall at Wellington Green.

Fire crews were at the scene around 2 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

It's unclear if the fire started by accident or was set intentionally.

House fire in suburban Lake Worth

Firefighters say Fourth of July fireworks also caused a house fire in suburban Lake Worth.

The fire started just before 11 p.m. Monday on Brunson Circle.

Everyone inside the house escaped the flames, but the home is a total loss.
