Corey Collier: Wellington Boys and Girls Club worker accused of sexual assault

WELLINGTON, Fla. - A man who worked at the Wellington Boys and Girls Club is in jail and charged with three counts of sexual assault.

Corey Collier, 32, is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old volunteer who he met at the club. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the girl is now pregnant.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Collier would call and send text messages asking for nude photos and would show up to the alleged victim's home and park in her driveway.

Investigators say Collier confessed to having sex with the teen and now faces three felony counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

One of Collier’s family members said he was shocked at the news.

"I don't really know what to say because working where he is working, he is supposed to have a better sense you know than that.” said Charles Powell.

Investigators say Collier has no prior criminal history in Florida.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, Inc. released this statement:

Allegations of misconduct by an employee have been reported to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. We are deeply concerned about these allegations and are cooperating fully with the local authorities in regard to this incident.
