Storms on Saturday did not cause much major damage throughout south Florida.
However, some Wellington residents are left cleaning up debris, down trees and broken tree limbs after strong gusts blew through the area.
Wellington resident, Nick Girolamo says it took less than a minute for strong wind to take down trees in his neighborhood, the Polo West Golf community.
"Sure enough it got worse and worse. It sounded like a train was coming…. All of a sudden it for about 15 seconds blew real hard, blew the palm trees, bowed them over."
After listening to the storm from inside his home, Girolamo and his neighbors stepped outside to view the damage.
"If those trees had been closer to the house it would have been another story."
Wind and rain also made for tough driving conditions.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue says the storm also caused some down power lines in Lake Worth.
Girolamo says overall, damage was minimal compared to what he was expecting. "Had it gone any longer Im sure there would have been more damage," he said.
