Bank of America robbed in Wellington, authorities seeking public's help identifying suspect

— Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a man suspected of a Thursday armed robbery at a Bank of America branch office in Wellington.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office statement released this morning, the suspect entered the bank, located at 10690 Forest Hill Blvd., at about 2:20 p.m. Thursday and passed a note to a teller, claiming that he had a gun.

The teller, who the statement said feared for her life, gave the suspect money from the cash register. The man then left the bank and walked east through the parking lot, the statement says.

The sheriff's office has released photos of the suspect, described as a white male of medium build and in his mid- to late 30s. He has no facial hair, and his height is between 5-feet 5-inches and 5-feet-8 inches.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black and orange Baltimore Orioles cap, a black long-sleeve V-neck shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
