Anti-Semitic graffiti incidents in Wellington, Miami Beach one week before Hanukkah

WELLINGTON, Fla. -- The Anti-Defamation League is condemning two incidents of anti-Semitic graffiti in Wellington and Miami Beach over the weekend.

The ADL said in a press release that a message against Jews was found written in front a Chabad Hanukkah display in Miami Beach Saturday morning. Then on Monday morning, a large spray-painted swastika and profane anti-Semitic message was discovered on a dumpster in front of Temple Beth Torah in Wellington.

The graffiti comes one week before Hanukkah, the ADL noted.

"Such bigotry is un-American and a sad reflection of those in our community who attempt to intimidate and offend religious groups through anti-Jewish vandalism," said Yael Hershfield, ADL Florida Interim Director, in a statement.

The Anti-Defamation League also said it has been in touch with law enforcement as a result of the graffiti.
