Travis Demond: Motorcyclist killed in suburban West Palm Beach

SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning in suburban West Palm Beach.

The crash occurred at about 6:48 a.m. near Summit Boulevard and Kirk Road.

The sheriff’s office said the motorcyclist, Travis R. Demond, 23, was traveling westbound on Summit Boulevard at a high rate of speed. 

The driver of a Toyota Corolla, Linnette M. Foster, 47, of West Palm Beach was turning left onto Summit Boulevard to travel north from the eastbound left turn lane of Summit Boulevard. 

During the crash, the front of Demond’s motorcycle impacted into the right front of the Corolla. 

Demond was ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest on the northwest shoulder of the intersection. He died at the scene from injuries sustained during the crash. 

Foster was transported to a local hospital for additional medical treatment.  PBSO did not list an address for Demond.
