Voting has been steady so far Tuesday morning, according to Palm Beach County's Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher.

She said the county normally sees about 18 percent of registered voters cast a ballot in the primary elections.

But the number of mail-in and early voters are up compared to 2012's primary, which may mean more voters will be participating in today's elections.

In 2012, about 15,000 people voted early.

This year, roughly 29,000 people voted before Tuesday, according to Bucher.

Bucher added the number of mail-in ballots increased from about to 29,000 in 2012 to more than 50,000 in 2016.
