The president of a softball league in Palm Beach County is accused of stealing thousands of dollars and using the funds for his personal use.

Timothy Martin, 52, is accused of stealing more than $20,000 from the Lake Lytal Lassie Softball League in suburban West Palm Beach.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office began to investigate when the treasurer of the league discovered that donations were being deposited into an account not connected with the league.

Martin has been charged with fraud.
