Palm Springs police on Tuesday released a sketch of the person who injured two restaurant employees, shooting one and pistol whipping the other.

The incident occurred at about 1:23 a.m. Monday at the Tacos Al Carbon located at 4420 Lake Worth Rd.

The employees said they were preparing to close the taco trailer when a man confronted them with a gun and demanded money.

Due to a language barrier, the employees did not comply with the gunman, prompting the suspect to batter one of the workers and shot the other multiple times.

The person then fled the scene on foot, possibly southbound.

The restaurant employee who was shot remains hospitalized Tuesday in stable condition while the other victim was treated and released.

Police are looking for man who is around 5 feet 9 inches, heavy set, short neck, deep set of eyes, large forehead, large eyebrows and wearing dark shorts with white stripes.

Anyone who can help in the case or recognizes the person in the sketch is asked to call Palm Springs police at 561-968-8243 or Detective Hudson at 561-304-4816.
