Summer job fair helps Riviera Beach youths seeking seasonal employment

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - Hundreds of youngsters were hoping to find out more about summer work Tuesday in Riviera Beach.

The 6th annual "Putting Young People to Work Jobs Fair" kicked off at the JFK Middle School Gymnasium, and dozens of community organizations partnered to provide information to those who are seeking seasonal employment.

Thomas Masters, mayor of Riviera Beach, teamed up with various community organizations, such as Teen Temps, Workforce Alliance, the Palm Beach County Coalition to Stop the Violence and the City of Riviera Beach Youth Empowerment program, to help students shift their focus from earning marks to making bucks.
