RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - Riviera Beach police have arrested a man accused of firing multiple shots that hit one person and riddled several apartments Monday night.
Just before 10 p.m., officers say the shooter, identified as Scott Mosley, walked toward the victim, who was sitting in front of his residence in the 1100 block of W 28th St.
Witnesses told police that Mosley pointed a gun at the victim, who then fled from his chair and ran behind an apartment complex.
Police say that Mosley fired multiple shots, one of which hit the victim in the leg.
Investigators say that several of the bullets went through the windows of nearby apartments where small children were inside.
No one in the apartments was hit.
Officers say that when they approached the area, they saw a car with a shattered window.
Police say that Mosley took off from the scene but later crashed into a fence on W 26th Court.
Mosley was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on attempted first-degree murder charges as well as firing into an occupied dwelling.
