Riviera Beach: Three suspects in custody in connection with Riviera Beach homicide

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - Three men were arrested Thursday evening in connection with a homicide earlier in the day in Riviera Beach, said Rose Ann Brown, spokeswoman for city police.

A 17-year-old male, whose name was not released, was charged with first-degree murder with a firearm. Moslaint Joseph and Fenel Joseph, both 18, were arrested on charges of being an accessory after the fact. All three are expected to face additional charges, Brown said.

Riviera Beach police responded a few minutes after 1 a.m. to reports of shots fired in the 1200 block of West 26 th Street. Upon arrival they found 19-year-old Jeremy Taylor dead at the scene and another 19 year old, identified as Emmanuel Augustin, wounded. Augustin, who was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in a private vehicle, remains in critical condition late Thursday, Brown said.

The three men who took Augustin to the hospital were detained by deputies after noticing that the car they were in had been reported stolen. They found bullet casing in the vehicle. The men were later questioned by Riviera Beach police and arrested,  Brown said.

At the murder scene police found a 9-millimeter gun near Taylor's body.
