RIVERIA BEACH, Fla. - Riviera Beach police say they arrested a woman on Saturday after two young children were found home alone.
Officers say that they received a call from a family member who told them that two children, ages 3 and 6, were home while their mother Pamela Westberry had gone to the store.
The children, according to police, said their mother made breakfast and then left to go to the store.
Officers who located Westberry were told that she left them with her boyfriend.
The boyfriend told police that he left the house early that morning and was never asked to watch the kids.
Westberry told police that she went to get a beer and did not leave them alone for more than thirty minutes.
Police arrested Westberry and her charged with two counts of child neglect.
