Boil water advisory for parts of Riviera Beach

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - A boil water order has been issued by the City of Riviera Beach Utility District for several areas of the city.

The advisory was issued Friday evening and is expected to last at least 72 hours, lasting through the weekend into Monday.

The order is effective for the following areas of Riviera Beach:

  • 100 Block of East 29th & 30th Street
  • All of Wilma Circle
  • All of Palm Drive
  • All of Shore Drive
  • Lake Shore Drive from Wilma Circle north to Silver Beach Road
  • WINN DIXIE Plaza (east side of Broadway between West 37th Street and Silver Beach Road)

A city spokesperson says the order is due to a water main break that happened Friday afternoon.

While repairs are complete and water service has been restored, residents in the areas listed are told they must boil cooking and drinking water for a minimum of five minutes before using or drinking it.
