Nearly a dozen high school students will be getting help paying for college thanks to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Foundation.

As part of its 2016 Youth Scholarship Program, 10 Palm Beach County high school seniors will get $2,000 scholarships for their first year. The scholarships can be renewed for up to 4 years of college or a trade school, according to the foundation.

The high school seniors were nominated by a sworn employee of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

“As a charitable organization, we want to give back to the community, and we feel there is no better way to do that than by helping deserving students further their education,” said Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Foundation Chairman Rick Seymour in a news release.
