PALM BEACH, Fla. - There's a new rescue vehicle in tow designed to help animals in distress.
The "Lois Pope Red Star Rescue Vehicle," donated by the local philanthropist, was just dedicated.
It will be operated by the American Humane Society.
It's specifically-designed and outfitted to provide a wide array of emergency services, particularly in the immediate aftermath of disasters like hurricanes and tornadoes.
It can also be used in animal cruelty cases and other emergencies.
