PALM BEACH, Fla. - A total of 19 undocumented migrants are in custody after coming ashore on Palm Beach early Thursday morning.
Deputies, fire rescue and border patrol found them at North County and Wells roads.
Two of the migrants were taken to a hospital but later released to officials.
A boat that may be connected to the migrants, who are of Haitian and Bahamian nationality, was found on a beach near a house in the area.
Seven of the migrants were women, police said.
Law enforcement in the U.S. said they received a tip from Bahamian authorities about a possible human smuggling operation that was occurring Wednesday night.
A search is still ongoing in the area for more migrants.
